Hannah Melville
Hannah (she/her) is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. Her PhD aims to contribute to the area of obesity and eating disorder research by understanding the prevalence of adults with overweight/obesity and co-occurring eating disorders/disordered eating seeking weight management treatment. Hannah also forms part of the study team for the Eating Disorders In weight-related Therapy (EDIT) Collaboration; a global collaboration of researchers, clinicians, and consumers from the fields of obesity and eating disorder sharing individual participant data to examine eating disorder risk as part of weight management interventions. In her PhD, Hannah will also explore the variables, identified through the EDIT Collaboration’s previous studies, that are important for measuring eating disorder risk in individuals receiving weight management treatment, as well as explore the effect of behavioural weight management interventions on cardiometabolic health and eating disorder risk at an individual level.
